Mohamoud Boss Ahmed
Mohamoud Boss has a degree in marine engineering, and an MSc in maritime safety and environmental protection. After a short spell in the Somali navy, he qualified as a chief engineer. Before the collapse of the Siad Barre regime, he found work in Sweden. After returning to sea as a superintendant engineer around the Arab Gulf, Mohamoud then switched to heavy vehicles, specialising in regulatory compliance and working both in Sweden and London. He set up Mushtaraka’s office in Berbera at the beginning of 2011. Mohamoud’s engineering training was started in Moscow, but completed in Basrah when the Siad Barre regime broke its ties to the Russians.
